At Serve Robotics, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, and share personal information in our various business operations.
Understanding Our Different Roles
Serve Robotics operates in two distinct capacities when it comes to personal information:
- 01As a Service Provider/Processor Serve Robotics acts as a “Service Provider” or “Data Processor” when providing delivery services through integrations with delivery partner platforms (such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and other delivery apps) and Serve Robotics delivery platform and robot fleet. Serve Robotics will process personal information if instructed to do so to fulfill our contractual obligations on behalf of our delivery partner agreements. In these situations, the partner company is the “Data Controller.”
- 02As a Data Controller Serve Robotics acts as the “Data Controller” when you interact with the Serve Robotics’ website, contact us directly, participate in our hiring process, or when our platform or delivery robots collect environmental data as part of operations and delivery.
When We Act as a Service Provider
Delivery Services Through Partner Platforms
When you place an order through a delivery partner platform that uses our robot delivery services, we process your delivery information solely to fulfill our obligation as the delivery service provider. In these situations we may process the following information related to your delivery request:
- Contact Information such as first and last name, email, phone number.
- Merchant Address
- Delivery Address
- Order Details
- Geolocation
The delivery partner company (such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and others are responsible for determining how your personal information is collected, used, and shared.
For privacy inquiries related to your delivery orders, please contact the delivery partner company directly through their customer service channels.
- We process your information only as instructed by the delivery partner company and in accordance with our contractual agreements with them.
- We do not use your delivery information for our own marketing or other purposes beyond completing the delivery service.

When We Act as a Data Controller
We act as the data controller for the following activities:
1. Website and Marketing Interactions
When you visit our website at serverobotics.com, engage with our marketing operations, or contact us directly.
Information We Collect:

2. Job Candidate Information

3. Robot Environmental Data Collection
Our autonomous delivery robots collect environmental data during their operations for safety, security, and operational and commercial purposes.
Information Our Robots Collect:
A. Safety and Security Data:
- Video recordings from robot-mounted cameras
- Audio recordings for environmental monitoring
- Environmental sensor data (temperature, weather conditions)
- Location and navigation data
- Obstacle detection and avoidance data
B. Urban Environment Data:
- Road condition and infrastructure mapping data
- Pedestrian movement patterns
- Traffic flow and congestion data
- Geographic and topographical information
Purposes for Robot Data Collection:
Primary Purposes:
- To ensure the safety of robot navigation and operations
- To protect robots from theft, vandalism, and damage
- To provide evidence for liability protection in case of accidents or incidents
- To comply with regulatory requirements for autonomous vehicle operations
- To develop improved navigation and safety systems
- To create and maintain urban mapping and infrastructure data To contribute to research autonomous vehicle safety and urban mobility
- To develop aggregate insights about delivery patterns and urban logistics
Secondary Purposes:
- To share marketing and analytics data with authorized third-parties
- To train artificial intelligence agents and models
- To report on urban planning research, traffic optimization studies, and human movement modeling for various applications
Law Enforcement and Legal Compliance:
Important Notice: Information collected by our delivery robots, including video and audio recordings, may be subject to subpoenas, court orders, or other lawful requests from law enforcement agencies or government authorities. Serve Robotics will comply with any lawful requirement to provide such information when properly requested through legal process. This may include:
- Video footage of incidents, accidents, or criminal activity
- Audio recordings relevant to investigations
- Location and timestamp data from robot operations
- Environmental sensor data that may be relevant to legal proceedings
We will only provide such information in response to valid legal process and will take reasonable steps to notify affected individuals when legally permitted to do so.
Data Retention:
Robot-collected data retention periods are determined by:
- The need to defend claims and similar records management requirements
- Legal and regulatory requirements
- Contractual obligations with our delivery partners
4. How We Share Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
Service Providers and Vendors
With third-party vendors who assist us with:
- Website hosting and technical operations
- Analytics and research services
- Marketing and advertising services
- Security and fraud prevention
- Cloud storage and data processing
Business Transfers
In connection with any sale, transfer, or financing of our business or assets, including bankruptcy proceedings.

State Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of certain states, you may have specific privacy rights under state law. Note that these apply solely to the collection of information set out below in relation to the categories of information that Serve Robotics collects, and not with respect to (a) information collection undertaken on behalf of Serve Robotics’ clients, or (b) in respect to information collected in public spaces.
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California Data Access and Deletion Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”) allows you to make certain requests about your personal information. Specifically, you may request that we:
- Inform you about the categories of personal information we collect or disclose about you; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information; and the categories of third-parties with whom we share/disclose personal information
- Provide access to and/or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you
- Delete certain personal information we have about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information we have about you
- Provide information about any financial incentives that we offer to you, if any
- Opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information
Please note that certain information may be exempt from such requests under California law. For example, we need certain information to provide our services to you.
Verification Process
Depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity based on the information that we currently possess. This may include, at a minimum, verifying your contact information and matching it with our records.
Authorized Agent
You are also permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf. In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.
Non-Discrimination
The CCPA further provides you with the right not to be discriminated against (as provided for by applicable law) for exercising your access or deletion rights.

California “Shine the Light” Disclosure
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request information from Serve Robotics regarding the manner in which Serve Robotics shares certain categories of your personal information with third-parties for the
third-parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Other State Residents
If you are a resident of Florida, Illinois, Georgia, or Texas, you may have similar rights under your state’s privacy laws. If we receive a request from you, we will honor your individual privacy rights accorded under those laws.

Verification Process
To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity before responding to requests. This may include:
- Verifying contact information against our records
- Requesting additional identifying information for sensitive requests
- Enhanced verification for requests involving robot-collected data
Authorized Agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf with proper written authorization or power of attorney.
Response Timeline: We will respond to your request within 30 days (45 days for complex requests), assuming you have verified your identity or provided proper authorization, and will notify you if we need additional time.

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to:
